Battle Ground is Atlanta’s number one music outlet for new up and coming artist who has a winning passion to make a break through in the music industry. Battle Ground has been in motion for about five years plus, hosted by the Durtty Boyz, Et. Cali and JNicks also known as Stuey Rock, from the Atlanta’s hit radio station Hot107.9. Battle Ground was apart of the Durtty Boyz radio set from 6pm to 10pm, introducing indie artist not only from Atlanta, GA but other states around the country. Artists were able to submit their music to the station and the Boyz would play their songs on the radio against another indie artist. Listeners of the show would call in and pick the best song by choosing #1 or #2. This musical portal provided by Hot107. 9 allowed the winning song and artist to compete in more battles, picking up a fan base that included millions. Battle Ground broke through artist such as Waka flocka Travis porter, Migos, August Alsina, Figvrati Films, and Kstylis –who has the current hit song of 2013 “Booty Me Down”.
Battle Ground Mondays- is the new innovative segue for artists to now perform these songs that can be played on the radio, LIVE for all their family, friends, and now potential fans. Battle Ground Mondays started January 21, 2013 at the Asylum Night Club on the Eastside of Atlanta, GA. Influencing artist stage performance and crowd reactions, igniting major exposure for the artist. If the artist wins the live competition they will win free studio time, video media spotlight of their performance, interview and full promotion on the Battle Ground Mondays website, LiveMixtapes slot featured on IamGambino mix tape series, helping to build the artist buzz in the city. Battle Ground Mondays is further advancing to take the competition on the road to different city-states to find new artist and bring light to their talent, giving the people what they want to hear.
